1. ProBoards Message boards only. If you wish to have a skin or template for your message board rated please post in the Design Board instead.
2. Only post your forum if you want it rated. This is not a forum to just advertise your forum. This also means no topics like the following:
- Join for Join
- Advertise at my Board/Promote your board for free
- And strictly no topics just telling people to join your forum !
- No 'make a forum with me' topics.
3. No 'I'll rate your boards' topics. The whole board is here for people to rate boards, we do not need these kinds of topics. If you would like to rate peoples boards, please post your rating in the topic relating to that board.
4. If you are going to rate, please rate sensibly.
4a. Don't just give a '9/10' sort of post. Back up your ratings with ideas and suggestions, and compliment on what you liked about the board.
4b. Don't rate in an abusive manner. If you don't like their board, and can't think of a nice way of telling them, and giving them ideas on how to improve it, then just don't post at all.
4c. If you can't give a decent rating, please do not post. This is about quality of ratings, not quantity of ratings.
4d. Do not post links to Proboards Design forums in your ratings as that would be considered unfair advertising. Direct people to the Coding & Design board instead where they can see a list of design sites and choose for theirself.
5. If you are posting a board for a rating:
5a. If you get a bad rating, do not take it personally. You posted your board to get a rating, and there are three kinds of ratings, good, bad and on the fence, you will not always get the good ones. Peoples tastes differ, so please do not get abusive to a member who gives you a bad rating.
5b. Please do not use misleading topic titles. Remember people will look for boards on subjects they are interested in.
5c. You may bump your topic only once in 4 hour periods. Bumping is any back to back post by a member. The thread creator should be the only person bumping the thread when needed.
5d. Please post the ProBoards url to your board.
5e. Only post a board if you are an admin of the board you are posting for rates.
5f. No asking for members or for people to join in your posts either. This board is only for receiving suggestions to help your forum not to recruit new members.
5g. No affiliate requests in posts or thread titles.
6. Only create one topic asking for your board to be rated per 24 hour period. You may create a new thread 24 hours after the time you created your previous thread as long as it has not been posted in within the last 4 hours.
6a. A maximum of 2 threads per member is allowed in a 24 hour period. This means you may only post up to 2 different forums within any 24 hour period.
7. Never, ever, ask for staff members. This is how many boards get 'cracked', because people give staff powers to people they do not know. So promote staff from within your forum, loyal members who have been there for a long time, and who you feel could do a good job.
8. Remember that this is meant to be a fun place to be, so enjoy and have fun.
